Gushed down all day and still gushing tonight …
The drivers Here don’t follow any rules, so scarey.
A wedding took place last night, Friday, near the pool, right below my window. The music
Festive and celebratory…it went on until 5:30 this morning. I didn’t get a wink of sleep.
I figured tonight would be a Sheraton Presidente Wedding Saturday night.
I FOUND OUT three weddings tonight.
Tomorrow, Sunday, is the Women’s Conference & Tea. I am giving my testimony & singing
Sandi Eason is delivering the message on devotions. 400+ confirmed guests.
Pastor Carlos Bautista told me that several of the family members of the gangs will be attending our event. The situation of the Government vs. the Gangs is extremely
Dangerous right now. I am looking forward to being back in the USA.
Thanks for your Prayers,
Karen

Yesterday we went to market to buy supplies. We got caught in a downpour, as we were leaving. We scrunched up against the side of the building to keep dry. I was surprised tobrush up against a Guard with an UZI. WOOPS! Guards & Militia are everywhere. Many people arrived today from all over Central America, Belize, Guatemala. We are now at the SheratonPresidente, where the buses can arrive bringing Pastors from the airport. This is where the Presidents stay when in San Salvador. President Bush stayed here. I got to visit the Calvary Chapel School yesterday and met with some children. The school is beautiful, clean & neat with a colorful playground, soccer area, outside lunch area, many murals on the walls. The cheerful play of the school children was welcome to me.Our count for the WOMEN’S CONFERENCE this Saturday, has risen. We are adding 70 more lunch accommodations.Tomorrow we bake all day at the Orphanage in San Martin.I just heard that there are many mosquitoes in the countryside where the Orphanage is located. So I am going to be prepared! If you read this, pray for the guests coming to the event. Sunday is theBig day (Women’s Conference ’09), the Pastor’s Conference is on SATURDAY.Love & Blessings, Karen Karen JewellNov ’09 El SalvadorMission Team
